About The Sanctuary

How we began

The Happy Little Hooves Sanctuary has been a project in the making since 2011 when we got our first two donkeys. We fell in love with them and dreamed about starting a donkey sanctuary. In the meantime we were given two adorable mini donkeys and hoped we were one step closer to that dream.

Fast forward to 2018 when we were given a mini horse named Pokey and our hearts expanded to include all the littlest equines. This grew our dream to include ponies, mini horses and mini mules.

At Christmas of 2018 we sat down and decided to finally follow our dream to start our mini sanctuary. Now we are here to give the littlest equines a safe and happy home to live out their days in peace and love.
